As you know May 11th I attended a Mother’s Day tea in Girouxville as a fundraiser for the playground.  The fundraiser went wonderfully, there were various home based businesses from throughout the community that had tables at the event as well as gift bags for the first 50 moms.  Laura did a wonderful job of coordinating the event for the playground, it was a great turnout.  There was also a wonderful homemade breakfast and lunch to go along with the tea, the support within the community is phenomenal, I was honoured to be a part of it .  My mother, sister, grandmother and sister’s friends also attended the event with me .

So as I mentioned in my last blog, tomorrow I will be speaking at Ecole Providence School in McLennan at 2:00pm where I will talk to the students about my adventures in the Miss Teen pageant as well as how important sports and academics are to me.  I’m so excited to share my platform of fitness with the students and hope to inspire them.  After I speak at Providence I will be attending a Top Model Workshop put on by Linsay Willier- Canada’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 first runner-up.  Linsay has been my role model since I first watched her on CNTM.  I admire her independence and drive and I find her easy to relate to because she came from a small town in Northern Alberta too. I have attended two workshops already put on my Linsay and loved them! She is so well-spoken and is definitely someone to look up to.  Not only is she absolutely stunning but she teaches young girls that its important to keep up with your schooling and not to rely on people but to make things happen for yourself instead.  I’m so excited and can’t wait to tell you all, all about it!

April 18th proved to be a very painful day as I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed!  Very swollen and painful.  But I am enjoying all the pudding and icecream .  Altogether the surgery took less than two hours and I was fortunate to get a very friendly surgeon

As I am now on bed rest for a couple days, I have taken this opportunity to prepare for my upcoming SAT exam on June 1!!  Because I am interested in colleges/universities in the US I am required to write an SAT and submit the score along with my application.  After I graduate high school I am interested in attending university to complete my MBA (masters of business administration), I love travelling and meeting people so this is a career path which I feel is best for me!  The schools which I am most interested in are: Berkley, Harvard and University of Alberta(if I were to stay in Canada).  I am so blessed to have such a supportive family, friends and community.  Growing up in such a small town where everyone not only knows your name but also your dreams and aspirations is amazing.  No matter how big, I believe any dream is attainable through hard work and perseverance.

I had an amazing time, we visited Salzburg as well as Vienna (the capital city).  I love to travel and have been to many places however this was my first time to Europe and I would definitely go back

My favourite part of the trip was visiting the KREMS music school in Melk where we got to spend the day with high school students from Austria and played music all day it was amazing. That night we got to sleep in a castle which was completely mind blowing, definitely felt like royalty.

While we were there we also got to tour around and see various places that were filmed in “The Sound of Music”! So cool! My favourite was getting to see the gazebo where they sang “16 going on 17″.  My band was able to perform in many different venues throughout Austria including a church and the ‘Haus der Musik’.  It was an amazing experience.  I met tons of friendly people that made my stay very enjoyable.

I firmly believe that everyone should get the opportunity to travel, it is important to see the world and experience new cultures.

I also really enjoy volleyball and play the position of “middle”. I’m number 7 in almost every team sport I play.

I work part-time at the local gym, my bosses are the best!  During the summer months I help work at the family business in the bees with my siblings.  My job is to send the frames through the extractor to get all the honey off after they come in from the field.  Last year was my first year helping in the family business because prior to that I was deathly allergic to bees and spent most of my time answering the phones instead.  So far I am really enjoying it

Together my parents founded Wolfe Honey Company and Honey Bunny situated all in my hometown.   I also have a younger brother(15) and a younger sister(14), because we are so close in age we get along pretty well.

Our family would not be complete without our puppy! He’s a beautiful German Shepherd/Alaskan Malamute that we got in March 2012 walking through a mall where a woman was in desperate need of a home for the beautiful puppy, we couldn’t resist!

I first started modelling at the age of 13, its been a life long dream of mine! As for pageants, Miss Teen Canada-World is my first pageant and I couldn’t love it more! I was first informed of the pageant by my best friend who thought it was right up my alley (boy was she right, i love it!).  My friends and family have always supported my dreams and encouraged me to take every opportunity, I am so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people.

I just wanted to give you a break down of whats going on, today we got to have a tour of Toronto on the Hippo Tour Bus. Which is a tour that takes you to all the historical sports in Toronto, and takes you on the water to get a better view of the city.

The next activity that was on our agenda was going up to the CN tower, which was build 1973 and is 181 stories high, which is 1815 feet and 5 inches. It takes 56 seconds to reach the top from the elevator. I had so much fun on this activity, and being able to experience with the wonderful ladies here. 

We also had the the opportunity to take on a game of bowling, at  bowling ball.ca, which I might add, I couldn’t imagine how wonderful those bowling shoes completed my outfit……which is a lie.
I had so much bowling today with the girls, I can’t says I was the best out of the bunch, but when it comes to bowling it doesn’t matter. Its the one game that I can actually play and not worry about winning.

After bowling we had the honor at eating at the most beautiful Greek Restaurant you’ve ever seen. The food was amazing, and the people there were fantastic.
Well that wraps but my day today, all I can tell you guys is that must more is going to come out of this trip. So stay tuned,
